World’s Top Fertilizer Company Calls the Port Home
The Port’s proximity to Ventura County growers and the Central California agricultural industry put it in an ideal location for the transportation of agricultural products.
Yara, one of the world’s largest fertilizer manufacturers, operates a bulk liquid fertilizer storage and distribution terminal on the South Terminal and has been a Port customer since 1999.
Product safety and the safety of Yara’s employees and the communities in which Yara operates are top priorities for Yara. Yara’s products at the Port are specifically designed to provide optimum nutrients to the vast array of crops grown in the agricultural industry throughout California and Arizona. All of the fertilizer products that Yara receives at the Port are safe when handled in accordance with industry regulations and Yara guidelines. More information on Yara’s products can be found here.
