The Port of Hueneme hosts, sponsors and supports numerous local events and organizations in our community.

Sponsorship Overview

Port of Hueneme Sponsorship Process: Each year the Port of Hueneme engages in a robust and intentional outreach program that incorporates community partnerships through the creation of community benefits including sponsorship opportunities.

Applications will be reviewed as they come in and on a rolling basis.

How to Apply for Sponsorship

Applications must be completed in its entirety and submitted a minimum of 45 days prior to the event date or the deadline to be included on event marketing materials, whichever is first.

Please be sure to follow the instructions carefully as the application is a multi-step process requiring 1) completed application and 2) submission of additional event/organization information (flyers, sponsorship level packages, etc.)

PLEASE NOTE: Applications will be the primary material used to present information to the Port Committee and Board of Harbor Commissioners for consideration. Please be thorough, specific and concise when responding to each of the questions.

Community Engagement

Tours for Students

The Port of Hueneme offers an excellent educational experience for students of all ages with tour content tailored to meet the educational needs of elementary, secondary and post secondary educational levels.

Banana Festival

This family oriented and highly anticipated event provides a chance for the community to experience The Port with tours, arts and crafts, educational displays, and maritime related experiences, all while enjoying one of the Port’s largest imports — bananas!

Global Trade & Logistics class

The Port offers an award-winning 12-week Global Trade & Logistics class for Oxnard Union High School District students and partners with local universities to develop maritime education programs.

FIRST Robotics Competition

In conjunction with FATHOMWERX, The Port hosts the Hueneme Port Regional and Ventura County Regional FIRST Robotics Competition that is held annually.

Internships

Internships are also available through the Port. Port of Hueneme regularly seeks motivated self-starters for intern positions to work with Port staff. Internships are paid positions.

What's New at the Port

Participants in the vibrant City 5k fun run dash through clouds of colorful powder, promoting wellness and fitness. Dressed in casual clothes, sunglasses, and hats, they capture memories as they breeze by cheerful spectators and volunteers decked out in vests.
